The Billy Laughlin Foundation is a private organization developed by Singer / Songwriter JJ Brown. The foundation was created on June 26, 2010 just several months after loosing his nephew Billy Laughlin in a tragic accident. Billy Laughlin has a daughter named Journey who was born only 1 month after her father passed away. Billy Laughlin was 19yrs old. The final months that Billy was alive, JJ struggled to help him find work and career opportunities by talking with him daily and helping him stay focused. Because Billy had also recently lost his brother due to suicide (21 years old), JJ found it imperative to have a counselor available for Billy. This task was not easy and came a little too late. JJ Brown comes from a broken family and knows exactly how hard becoming a young adult can be without the right guidance, love and support. JJ Brown is now a proud Father of two and a devoted husband who has made it his personal goal in life to use his gifts to fund this foundation. JJ Brown donates directly to the Billy Laughlin Foundation from merchandise and music sales. JJ Brown hopes that one day this foundation will become worldwide and change the hearts of people old and young. JJ Brown hopes to provide young people with love, support, opportunity and hopes of a brighter future. JJ Brown wants young people to DREAM BIG.

The mission behind this private foundation is to donate funds to public or private organizations and non-profit charities that aid young people between the ages of 16 and 22 years old both male and female. While the focus is on this age group, no person or charity organization will be denied because of age. The sole purpose of this organization is to help teenagers make the transition into adulthood with the loving but wise support of fellow adults willing to serve as a friend and counselor. To aid other non-profit organizations that provide jobs, education, career opportunities and temporary living arrangements while encouraging them to create goals and live their dreams.
